Wortnaut (“we”) helps you learn German. This policy explains what we collect and why. By using the app you agree to this policy.

What we collect

• Account — your name, email, and a securely hashed password.
• Learning progress — lessons completed, XP, streaks, coins, achievements and review schedules, so we can save your place.
• Microphone (only when you tap “Say it”) — your speech is transcribed to score pronunciation. We do not store recordings; the text is used to compute a score and then discarded.
• Essential cookies — to keep you signed in.

How we use it

To run your account, save your progress, and improve the learning experience. We do not sell your personal data.

Third parties

We use service providers for hosting, our database, and speech/audio processing. If we add advertising in the future, ad partners (e.g. Google) may use cookies; we will update this policy and ask for consent where required.

Your rights

You can request access to or deletion of your data. Contact us and we will help. Deleting your account removes your personal data and progress.

Children

Wortnaut is intended for general audiences. If you believe a child has provided personal data without consent, contact us and we will remove it.
